I'm creeping up on my 100th post and I was wondering if you get your star with a 5 or a 10 or a 1? Or does the system track your ratings for your first 100 posts and you get a start based on those? I haven't seen this question or...

Inky261 I started with a 6 in my star. That was ok. The number in the star is how many people out of ten have rated your discussions or replies positv. 9 is 9 people out of ten rated you positiv. For me it was 6 out of ten positive votes. This is quite good for a...

I use the same nickname everywhere I write on-line. To me, it means that I can be completely honest about my feelings and opinions without worrying about someone I know accidentally finding it and getting angry or hurt. I like to...

PunkyMcPunk I use Punky or PunkyMcPunk because some sites already have a Punky (which I find weird) lol. Guess I'm not all that original sigh..... I don't mind disclosing who I really am. My name is Amanda McCabe. I live out in the middle of nowhere Ontario, Canada....

Woodpigeon No, I don't use my real name. I don't see any reason why you should. All advice goes against it, and whether anyone calls me by my first name or my avatar name makes very little difference. I am getting fond of being called WP, and Wood, and Woody, and Piggey....

Leca Everyone's star starts out based on the ratings they already got. So you could start with anything. I know I started with an eight or a nine, but it's been months ago now so I'm not 100% sure which one. I quickly moved to a 10 and had that for several months,...

I've been with AC since February, and I'm really enjoying my time there. But I did some number-crunching, and discovered that my average pageviews per article is only around 250 -- that's pretty low. I don't want to end up getting...

queenbean When you submit an article for payment, they can either make an offer or reject the article for payment, and you can publish for free. A lot of writers on the site had been writing like 20 articles a day, and getting a lot of good initial offers, but nobody...

Racism is a funny, funny thing. The number of reasons to not like a noun are almost infinite. I use the term noun to mean "a person (or persons), place, thing or idea". I think that deep down everybody has a very strong racist...

Yes, I need to know what I did to fix this. I had a rating of 9 in a red star the other day, and I just noticed it's now back and 8 in the yellow star. Who knows the ins and outs on this?

dramaqn Well GOSH! Who would give me a bad rating and on what post? I always try to give good feedback. Well, now I feel even worse. I was really hoping it was something I did so I could fix it. Well, I guess that's just the way it is. You win some, you lose some....
