I have two children in school and twice a year am forced to sell from funraiser books for the both of them (4 total) Now my eldest has a box of candy bars I have to try and sell. Wow, it seems like every time I turn around they...

mazo77 Yes! My son's school does the picture thing twice a year too...so annoying. The first 2 years, I bought them, but now I just send them back...

How do you motivate your kids?

My 10 year old son came home with a not-so-good progress report last week. His first like this ever. He's understanding the material, he just isn't giving 100%. He's rushing to get the work done, or doing the least amount of work...

mazo77 My mom did the same thing for me...and it worked! I took dance lessons as a kid, and she took them away whenever I had a bad report. Thanks for sharing.......good to know that I'm not alone!

mazo77 Thanks! We've tried that, but it doesn't seem to be working. We're thinking of taking away some of the things he really loves (video games/the computer) every time he does poorly on something.

My favorite breakfast

My favorite Filipino breakfast is dried fish, egg and fried rice.Together with black coffee and vinegar as dip, that is superb.I guess the foreigners should try it when they come to the country.
