Citizen_Stuart Quite the opposite. I own guns and other weapons, and the value of human life is at the core of my political and moral philosophy. I've never threatened anyone, and I would never hurt anyone unless I had no choice. It is not for the government to tell me what...

ganga472007 I don't think so. In a civilised society where every citizen lives in peace, keeping a gun even for self protection is not necessary. Keeping a sword/gun or any weapon for self protectin means, we are in the state of lving in a society where human values have...

Citizen_Stuart Absolutely. Self defence is a natural right. So is the right to buy and sell property, to engage in sporting events and to start a collection. As long as you're not harming anyone else, you have the right to do what you want, including the right to own a gun.

xfahctor What is often missed in the gun-anti gun debate is the true intention of the second amendment. The founding fathers understood well the coruption that can engulf government and that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The second amendment is far more than...

laglen I believe that this is an inalienable right. All of the stupid laws are ridiculous. If you are going to kill somebody, you can do it with a .22 just as well as an ak-47! Even a kitchen knife or a piano wire. It is crazy.
