michael666 I realise full well it's a scam -- I was just wondering what they hope to gain from it and in exactly what way they would utilise the info they get. I don't actually have a credit card and I never give out personal info over the net. Thanx 4 the comment --...

Have the Vegemite wars started?

michael666 @michael666 (613) • China 23 Oct 06

The US has now banned Vegemite as an illegal substance.Do they think we stick it up our noses or bash it? It's a sad day for US/Australian relations, what retaliation, if any, is warranted?

bureaucratic ineptitude

michael666 This issue is now out of date --- a couple of months ago an Aussie had his Vegemite taken from him when entering the US,because of the folate content, the papers made a big deal at the time but the issue blew over. I posted this tongue in cheek.

How was Jesus born?

globleking @globleking (2754) • India 7 Nov 06

I know that he did not come through the birth canal - as that would make Mary not a Virgin? and i also know that "Mary" was surrounded by a great light, Joseph was asleep. The light went away and she had baby Jesus in arms....

The pros and cons of Christianity

Do you think that christianity has been of benefit to the world or has it created more bad than good?

michael666 So true -- look at how the jews have suffered over the last 2,000 yrs because many christians held them responsible for the death of their messiah. Fundamentalists do have to be treated with much caution; they can be dangerous when cornered. They can even be...

michael666 Goodluck :) Fortunately we have freedom of choice which means if you want to do something and believe in it -- then you can go for it. One of my main criticisms is that it tends to avoid the issue of accountability ie I am responsible for my own sins and I...

michael666 You make a good point there. The bible states "Thou shalt NOT worship false idols" but as soon as people have a concept in their minds, that IS a false concept, as it's not possible to have an idea of god -- the infinite is beyond conceptualisation. It's our...

How old is too old to have children?

What do you think? Children involve sleepless night and lots of diapers, financial responsibilities. Is there an age where children are no longer appropriate?
