lying is always a sin?

how about white lie? people from time to time had to tell a lie, in order to help someone or bring happiness to others, but is lying always a sin? share your thoughts.

mills_rm Lying is a sin, no doubt about it, and yes it is a sin all of the time. however in this day and age where people are commiting murder and other serious sins, i dont believe lying can make the biggest difference, i try to minimise mine though.
