How can I get a star?

Many people got a star near their names. How can I get one? I see people have 1000 and 2000 and even 5000 points here in myLot - how? I write quite a lot and barely got to 60... Do you have any tips about these subjects?

beaniefanatic13 Healthkeep, first I would like to welcome you to mylot. It truly is a fun place to be. The stars are the "mylot reputation" it's how other members see you and they are responsible for your rating. The numbers range from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest....
