My distant relative's son was deep into drugs. The father did all he could humanly possible to help him quit the vice but to no avail. One day, in desperation, told him Ok! son, I don't want you to expose yourself to more dangers...

Mylot member well i think that that is really stupid. for one i know of a love called tough love wherein you allow your son to suffer in order for him to be cured. what i mean is that the father should forcibly send his son to rehab and seel medicine help so that the sons...

Do profiles give us more money?

Sawsen @Sawsen (793) • United States 14 Jan 07

I've been looking through a lot of profiles here on mylot, and I saw some really good ones. And I was thinking of doing one myself. Now, I figured that there must be a reason that mylot gives us that advantage in making a profile....

sunshinecup Yeah like the other posters said, it's just there for others to learn more about everyone. I use profiles to keep track of Mylot friends. If they aren't posting to any of my discussions in a weeks time, I erase them. No sense in wasting my time with theirs...

shywolf I feel that the profiles are just there to give us the option of showing off ourselves more to the community. I really don't think that we get paid more for doing things with our profiles *laugh* I wish that it were true! If so, I might even be tempted to go...

Do you think "beautiful" people have an advantage?

hockeygal4ever @hockeygal4ever (10021) • United States 10 Jan 07

I've seen small studies that say yes. Our society as a whole base everything on looks. If 2 people come in for a job interview with identical credentials, the beautiful person will get the job before the "ugly" one does. If a...

misskatonic Yes, I do agree. Ever since I was sixteen or so, I've been given discounts, free food, bumped ahead in lines, given free drinks at bars, let into clubs without paying... and all because I fit a media ideal of what's attractive. For a long time I was a...

Why is IE not as good as Firefox?

patrick10128 @patrick10128 (346) • United States 10 Jan 07

Recently I've been seeing a lot of people against IE (Internet Explorer) saying that it can allow viruses and all sorts of stuff, but they never seem to explain why. Does any one know why, or would like to expand on this topic?

nuno_canelas Firefox is lauded by fans for its download speed and a superior user interface, and users say that its pop-up blocker is one of the best out there. It offers tabbed browsing, which means that users can jump back and forth between different sites with only...

Every other discussion being an advertisement for that Payposter site. We get it! We know it exists! We can't get away from it. Enough already. I tried it. I didn't like it. I make more money here and I don't have to worry...

Thomas73 There's been a few complaints about myLot lately and people simply found another similar site, but which they deem more 'user friendly'. Talking about it once in a while is ok, but I do understand your anger at seeing so many posts about it, most of them...
