Runescape Moderator

Is it worth it to become a RuneScape Moderator? You do get free membership, and like 15M/month, but how tough is it to report every rule break you see? I am considering applying (at www.moderation.runescape.net.tf if anyone else wants to try it) , but I want to know whether or not its worth it.

the only way you can be a moderator is if jagex sends you a letter in you account inbox. That is probably a scam to get your pass. even if you became a mod you dont get anyhting all you do is get special powers to stop people from breaken the rules

Hmmm its big scam!Jagex will only give you mesages through the gmae inbox. If not theyd ask for your e-mail adress.THere is no way to apply to be a mod. Jagex will hand picks player moderaters by infroming you through the game inbox which is acessible on the runescape homepage. And asking Jagex to become a moderator lessens your chance of becoming one as they cleary state that they will not accept anyone as a moderator jus t because you or othe people think you should you should become one. If jagex thinks your trustworthy enough to become 1 they will inform you through the GAME INBOX ONLY!!!!!!!!!!! As for special benifits player moderators get special toll to use for tracking down rule-breakers and that's all they get.o and a silver crown next to their name.

there are 2 types of moderator on runescape. jagex mods have golden crowns next to their names when they type something and player mods have a silver crown next to theirs when they type. to be a jagex mod, you would need to work for jagex, they can't actually do anything in game other than stand around chatting and keeping an eye on people, this is why you very rarely see them about. they can't even trade. to become a player mod, you would need to have recieved a message from jagex into your in game mail box, they would never e-mail you about it, they only ever contact you through their message system. they do not take applications, so any website that claims to offer modship through an application form is some kind of scam, if they don't outright ask for your password, they may attatch a keylogger to your computor through an unseen virus. so be very careful about visiting such websites. player mods also do not get any enhancements for doing the job. they don't get free gp, they don't get any stat boosts or anything of the sort, the best they get is the ability to report in much more detail than you or i can and the ability to temporarily mute players that they believe to be saying offensive things. hope that helps :)
