the south beach diet worked for me. as well as a low glycemic index diet. cutting out junk food and all the soda will make you lose quite a bit of weight pretty quickly. do you know how much sugar is in soda?? good luck.

what helped me was switching from soda to unsweetened iced tea. it takes a few days to actually like the taste but now i cannot drink sweetened iced tea. i love it and it has no sugar and no calories.

Nutrition is the real answer to weight loss and I am sorry to say it is not easy but nothing really worth doing is. You need to cook at home using organic or at least fresh ingredients. Your cravings will not go away right away it takes time for your body to get used to eating properly. Things that help are protien and exercise. Beleive it or not if you give your body the exercise it needs it will crave good foods. I use Shaklee's Energizing Soy Protien it gives me the energy I desparately need and it stops my cravings in their tracks. When ever I am going crazy for chocolate I mix myself a small glass of protien and it subsides within minutes. Yes, you do need to rid yourself of the soda intake. Giving up soda is not easy but very important in weight loss and do not be fooled into thinking that diet soda is any better they both keep weight on you. If you drink soda with caffine try swiching to ice tea for about a week switching from the tea to a flavored water every other time you go for a drink after the first week drink only flavored water (no tea) and slowly start adding plain water after some time you will no longer even think about not choosing water when you go to the soda machine. Water has so many benifits. It helps you lose weight, smooths your skin, helps prevent wrinkles and gives you a full feeling. As with soda opposite effects such as increasing tooth decay, weight gain, increased cravings to name a few. If you can kick the soda, add at least 20 minutes of exercise a day and increase your protien intake you will lose quickly. Because you work in an office it may be a great opportunity to start a morning walk program with your co-workers, have them sign up to walk for health you will be amazed how many people will thank you for it. Best time to start is coming in early for work going for the walk and feeling the effects of more energy through-out the work day. I hope this helped Best wishes and happy weight loss
