Searching for an honest person...

It was the famous Greek philosopher and cynic DIOGENES who went around the streets of Athens, lantern in hand, looking for an honest MAN. This was over 2000 years ago, But I presume that Diogenes would have as little success in his search today !!

Please don't think me cheeky or big headed but I am an honest person , I hate lies , and I hate anyone telling lies , my sons are 44 , 41 and 26 and I used to tell them I could forgive them anything but a lie , 2 of them are married with teenagers and they have brought them up the same way , xx

You are right. What you have indicated as Diogenes' little success is I think about 20%. I presume that about 20% persons in our society are honest in all ages and thus the ratio for honest person among all of us is I think; 5:1 always. Thanks.

Yeah, I would have to agree with that, but I still think that there is a possibility that honest people are still out there.

well honest person is rare...but i dont think honesty is all good..i dont favour the person who tells truth which causes harm to others...i prefer a noble lie over it...
