I just joined Associated Content a few days ago and have submitted a few articles. I think that is great that they offer upfront pay for the articles. I was wondering, how much do you usually get for your articles? I thought I saw somewhere that the amount was between 3 - 20 (probably in the FAQ). How can you get in the higher range of pay? Thanks! =)

I have one being processed now and was paid for two others in the amount of 17.24. I thought it good and am hopeful for this one. Use spellcheck and do the best you can and with practice you will be able to write an article in about an hour and be paid nicely for it. Spellcheck, spellcheck, spellcheck. I have seen articles and saw the typos. Good luck! http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/64154/rebecca_haughn.html

Hey! Thank you. That is a really good amount! I have only made $.04 with Helium so far so I'm hoping that I will get good offers from AC. I have several articles that are submitted but not published yet. I added you to my faves on AC from one of the other posts. I was wondering if this helps by adding others to your faves? Thanks! =)

On average..I guess $5 is a general expectation of mine...though I have some articles that have netted me way more up-front and then some that were less in the $4 range. However, not matter how much your article gets I enjoy the new pay system where the articles continue to generate some pennies by page view counts and ect. Fun stuff.

I believe I saw somewhere recently where Michael Street stated that they've switched from paying so much as for content to paying for for the amount of page views you have averaged on previous articles. I think it's probably somewhere in between, but I know they have made a transition to try and reward those that promote their own content since the PV bonus and I think that may be reflected in the current payouts. I'm making about $6.21 per article plus the page view bonus. My most viewed article is a restaurant review, followed by a news submission that wasn't for pay because it was declined saying that it didn't appeal to a large enough audience.

I have never made anywhere near $20 an article from Associated Content. Before the new payment formula, I used to average around $10, but now I make $4-8 per article. I take it all in stride. If I can, I try and do special content offers, but it doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes I just want to write about what I am interested in. It helps to have a lot of folks reading your articles (making friends and giving you 5 stars), so the more you can cultivate friends, the better off you will be on Associated Content.

First, sell them the article exclusivley and they will usually pay you more. Second make sure your articles contain a few keywords about whatever topic you are writing. Third write articles they are looking for. They will pay you the most earnings for those. Finally, I believe a lot of the time they are just guessing. The most money I've been paid for an article there is far from the most viewed article I have. They try and figure out which articles will get them hits from googls an other search engines. But they are wrong probably many times.

I usually average around $5.50 per article. I had a couple that they offered $3.89 & $3.69 for and I rejected the offers. I'm rewriting and resubmitting one of them and scrapping the other one.

The most that I have made on AC was $20 for "Violet by Night" which was about when I was a stripper and my lowest was $3.00 for various reviews and for old papers that I submitted that I had written for college classes. It's really hard to gauge how you are going to be paid. I've had stuff I've put a lot of time and effort into and not gotten hardly anything for it. Reviews of products don't usually get much, but creative writing surprisingly earned me a bit more. They usually say when they reject some of my stuff that they look for the use of keywords that people can search for.

My highest was for $8.00 which was for a product review. This payment came from an associated content special offer where they will offer you a minimum of $8.00 per product review. They were having this special offer until May 20th so I'm trying to rack up all the $8.00 I can get.

I've averaged between $3.15 and $8.16 per article, not including the performance bonus. I've been trying to figure out their system for payment (word count? quality? SEO? a combination of many things?) so I can produce articles that will earn a higher pay. This has been a challenge, particularly since they've started rejecting more and more content over the passed several weeks.
