i have lost faith in people.

You sound fairly young, but, Zorrogirl, this is the way of life. In time, you learn who you can trust with how much of your heart. It's sad, but not realistic, to expect that very, very, very, very few people you will in encounter in your lifetime will be deserving of 100% of you. I can't really offer much in the way of advice because it is a case of taking it one at a time, day by day, case by case. Please know that not everyone out there will care for you one day and stab you in the back. But maybe you can learn to view people as falling into one of three categories... they will come into your life for: 1. A Reason, 2. A Season, or 3. A Lifetime. Sometimes, we don't know how long people will be around until they leave, but I believe we all fall into one of those three categories. Good luck.

Because they mark us as easy targets and they tell others we are a easy mark I have had friends do me that way also you see them in public they say hi but when it come to one on one they act like they don't know you or else they are too good I blame it on them for not seeing what a good friend that we could be so don't let it get you down there is always other friends out there maybe even better ones.

I know what you mean, people are very cruel. I can't believe that Jesus has forgiven me for stabbing Him in the back so many times. I suppose it is because He loves me so much. People will always let us down, and I think even if we don't know it, we have let some people down as well. We all have our mistakes and we will all have to answer to that one day. I have dicided to just forgive those that hurt me and try and forget about it. I do not always succeed but i pray that I never stop forgiving. Best of luck to you. Blessings.

Sorry to hear about what your friends did to you. Perhaps I may be lucky with my choice of friends. I only have a handful of very good friends and I trust them with my life. They are like my brothers and sisters outside of the family circle.
