My daughter was born 7 pounds and 7 ounces.I have only one child,i am a first mom. She's big for me coz i am only a short woman.I deliver her via c-section coz she wrap her umbilical cord in her neck.

I am glad that your daughter was ok, that was one of my fears, having the cord go around the baby's neck, luckily that never happened to any of my children though. Thanks!

Whew... Your kids are surely big. I don't know if I can give normal birth if my was son was that big.:-) My son was only 5.6, 2 weeks early. But now he is overweight for his age.

They were not all normal delivery, the 11 pound 3oz was by c-section because she was breach and the 10lb 3oz was also a c-section because I had a stillborn before him and they were not taking any chances. I am greatful that they were delivered that way as I don't think I could deliver them at that size. OUCH! Thanks!

My kids were all pretty well on time and 1st girl was 8p 3oz my son was 7p 10oz and my 2nd daughter was 8p 11oz, so mine were all good weights. My aunty had twins that were about 11 weeks early unfortunately one was still born but the other was 2p 4oz , she was so tiny that my aunty's wedding ring could slide all the way up her little leg. Jane is no longer the little premmy baby, shes 27 yr old and almost 6' tall, she has just passed a nursing degree approx 6-8 months ago and is doing realy well.

You did have nice size babies. I have seen pictures of little babies with a wedding ring on their legs because they are that tiny. I think I would be really scared to touch a baby that small. It is sad about the stillborn. I had a daughter that was stillborn, she weighed 9lbs, 8oz. There is not a day that I don't think about her. Thanks!

Happy in PJs! - This is my little one in her Easter PJs - she's still not overly big but it's all good - i like her being little!
My daughter was a little over cooked - her due date was June 15th, she was brought out on June 6th by caesarean & the Dr said she could have come out sooner! She was 8lb 5 oz. I don't really think it's true about every subsequent baby being bigger than the last coz my Sister in law had an almost 10 lb baby for her 1st but her 2nd was just over 6 lb so i dunno! Everyone kept saying how big my daughter was at 8 lb 5 oz but then i see numbers like your kids & i think - WOW, i am so glad she wasn't that big! Although, i thought she was pretty small anyway.

8lb 5 oz is a very good size still. I have heard of people's babies getting bigger each time and like you said, I have also heard of them getting smaller. I think it depends on the baby. I love the picture of you daughter, she is very cute. Thanks!

My son was born two weeks early and he weighed five pounds, eleven ounces and he was nineteen inches long. He was so tiny, even the premie diapers were too big on him. Now, he's bigger than me. My daughter was seven pounds, eight ounces and almost twenty-two inches long. She had long legs then and now. Brings back nice memories.

That is so cute with the nappies being to big. It's amazing with how small they can start off, to how tall they grow. I only had one baby in 000 clothes, all the others had to go straight into 00 clothes because they were so big. Thanks!

That must have been so scary having a baby born so early, she must have looked so tiny. I am glad that she has grown up now and is very healthy. Your other two were a nice size. I kept telling my doctor that I wanted a 6lb baby, he kept telling me to keep dreaming. Thanks!

I don't think many babies actually come on their due date, actually I think your the first person that has told me that. Maybe your baby could read the calendar, lol! Thanks!

My son was born 2 days early and weighed in at 8 lbs 10 oz. He was 21.25 inches long. He was born in just one push, though! Which was amazing, since he had his cord wrapped around his neck, with it also tied in two knots! My little sister weighed 12 lbs 7 oz and was almost 2 weeks late. My mom had her naturally! I hope none of kids are ever that big. Even though I didn't have any trouble with my 8 lb 10 oz baby, I think I would with a 12 pounder!

12 lbs, ouch! I do feel sorry for you mum, especially giving birth naturally. Your lucky with your son that he made it, having two knots tied in the cord. I think he must have loved doing somersaults. Thanks!

Gee, you had big babies even when they were born a few weeks early. I bet you were glad that you were giving birth early LOL!! My oldest son (12) was born 2 weeks early and he was 7lb 12oz (3.5kg) and that was hard work delivering him naturally. My youngest son (7yo) was 2 weeks late and was a whopping 10lb 5oz (4.1kg) and after 12 hours of labour was born via c-section. He didnt take his first breath for 3 minutes and had to go to neo-natal care. He looked so huge in a humidicrib. Newborn nappies were tight on him and he went straight into medium nappies and wore size 00 clothes LOL!! He never really stayed big but is tall and skinny now. He never really looked like a newborn either being born the size he was.

All of my kids had to go into neo-natal too and they all looked out of place being there with the really small babies. When my daughter was born, my sister had a 3 month old baby and my daughter was the same size as her. I was definetely glad that I had them early. Thanks!

Wow you had some big children!I did hear that they get bigger with each subsequent pregnancy and I am very much scared of that because my son was born right on time and was 10 pounds and 1 oz. I had some stiches and a rather long delivery so I wouldn't want to have a child any bigger than 10 pounds. Bless your heart for having 3 BIG children! WOW again!

I have heard of that too, but I have also heard of babies getting smaller. I think it just depends on the baby. If you are concerned about the weight of you next baby, then ask them to do an ultrasound when you are close to the due date, they will be able to estimate the size of your baby. If the baby looks big again, then let them know about your concerns from you previous labour. With my 11 pound 3 ounces baby, they had to deliver her by c-section as she was breach. I was so glad that she was delivered that way, I couldn't imagine pushing her out. Thanks!

Mine was way over eight pounds 11 oz. I gained a ton of weight during my pregnancy. Maybe that's why. My blood sugar level way way off. Hope the next one is smaller, but just as healthy as the first.

With my last one I had gestational diabeties, but I found that I was losing weight during the pregnancy. They said that usually happens if you have gestational diabeties. Quite often the babies will be bigger too. I hope that your next one will be smaller and healthy too. Thanks!

Wow, you did really have big babies. Both my son and daughter were three weeks early and both the 7 lb and 2 oz. I rather had an easy deliveries compared to most of my friend and relatives. I only had a 5 hr labour fo rmy son and just three hrs for my daughter. its probably bacause they were small. Now they are quite healthy and active.

I am so jealous, my labour with my first son was 13 hours and my second son was 9 hours. With my daughter it was a weird labour because I only had contractions if someone touched my stomach, I don't know if it was because she was breach or not. I was in labour with her for 6 hours until they did the c-section. With my last child I was booked in for a c-section, so I didn't go into labour. Thanks!

wow 11 lbs 3 oz thats a nice size hey at least you know your kids are healty. When my daughter was born all the drs and nurses were saying wow shes a 10 pounder when they weighed her she was 8 lbs 2 oz and she was born on my due date. With this one she may be a bit smaller since she will be 1 week early but I doubt that. I'm so huge she might be 10 lbs lol

I am so glad that I didn't go past the due date too. You had some big ones too. It's funny because with every pregnancy, I had people ask me how many babies I was having, I would tell them that there was only 1 and sometimes they wouldn't believe me or they would say they thought there was at least twins in there.

Wow..I don't know how to convert mine..My daughter weighs 2,500 grams when she was born. She's so little ( I really made her that way for me to deliver so easy) but now she so chubby at age 4 that I can't carry her anymore. LOL ;)

I am not sure how to convert it either, but that does sound small. It's amazing because it doesn't matter how small or big they are, they all end up about the same later on. Thanks!
