i'm afraid of snakes, are you?

I'm also afraid of snakes. I've never seen a snake closely. Last summer, when I went back home. I didn't know why there were so many snakes around there now because there's no snakes before. Some people said it's because of the construction of road that drived snakes here. Anyhow, I'm badly afraid of it. When I stayed at home last summer, my sister even saw a snake with golden skin. Wow, only thinking of it makes me feel disgusting.

I have had several 'encounters' with snakes and all those occurrences freaked me out so bad because I'm ophidiophobic [afraid of snakes]. The worst was when I was a freshman college student. When we were sitting at the lawn, a baby [but quite big] snake suddenly fell from a tree and it landed at my back!!! Oh God forbid!! Of all people out there, I - an ophidiophobic - was the unlucky one. It was good though that the snake was stuffed - I mean the snake ate something before it landed on me [its bulky and we're sure there's something 'undigested' in it]. That event made me a lot more afraid of snakes.

In Italy of it we have little in mountain, from girl I have seen some and touches to you, do not scare to me, but they are not close to house mine, I think taht are a wonderfull animal.....

I’m scared of snakes because of their worm-like appearance. I’m afraid of legless creatures too. Though I do fear of snakes I never have intention to kill them when I happen to come across with them.

funnily snakes dont realy bother me but spiders make me go crazy thing is i have been spider bitten i have never been attacked by a snake I was bitten several years ago by a black widow spider and i have never been sicker so i hate them now

A couple of weeks ago, while at my parents place, my 4yr old son was playing hide and seek with my dad and my wife. Several minutes later, my wife spotted a snake slithering right where they had all just been. My dad and I rounded it up and I killed it with a shovel. It was only about 15 inches long, but it was a Brown snake, which are quite deadly, regardless of size!

i've never seen a snake outside but i do go to the pet stores to see them all the time. i like snakes and i'd really like to have one for a pet.

Honestly, snakes from a distance are fine lol. The closer they are, the more scared I get, especially if they're brightly colored. It's kind of weird but I'm more scared of the brightly colored small ones that I am of big dark ones, and I think it's because the bright colors make them look so EVIL! Lol.

Wow it makes me glad to live in England where we only have adders that are dangerous and they only live on the uninhabited moors. I don't like snakes very much but they seem to be easier to avoid than spiders. I hate spiders as they are so unpredictable and difficult to stay out of the way of.

Totally scared. I'm scared of crawling insects and animals. There was a huge snake that entered our house in the province last 2 years ago and I was totally freaked out when I found out about it. Good thing we weren't there.

i don't afraid of snake since i'm still a little child.when i heard most of the people describe how horrible of the snake i feel surprised. it's just a human nature,i really don't afraid of snake though i couldn't tell why.

i'm not see snakes yet ..but when i saw snakes in television ,,i feel nervous ,.because his tongue looks that he can bite you anytime he want .,^^

well i was afraid of snakes.when i saw the discovery channel programs about how poisonous they are.but believe me i am living at a place which has high density of snakes.but i have never found them biting.if you dont interfere with them and dont attack them they dont injure you.it is just you be good to them and they are good to you.

I do not like snakes! I picked up a rock when I was bout 11 and we wee on a picknick by a stream and I was picking up rocks and I had not first paid attentioon till I walked back and there it was and my dad asked where the rock was and so I gave it to him and he put it back I had woken that thing and well dad put it to sleep. I have also been cleaning in yard and went to pick up a stick till I saw it move a little I froze and sure nuff it was not a stick. I see one in road I try to run over it especially if in area I know kids are playing.

Not really but seeing snakes up close makes me shiver, there is something about the cold scales of hte snake that makes me uncomfortable probably because it looks yucky.

Good grief if that was me that saw that snake my heart wouldn't even have had time to quit, the poor thing would have just blew up. I am scared spit less of snakes I don't care what kind. Oh I read your thread here and most often I read them twice well not this time I could almost see the red eyes and skin. Oh boy. I hope he left town LOL He sure would have if he heard my screeming.

It depend on what kind of snake species. I am not afraid to those snakes that are non-poisonous and it is always found on our backyard and houses.I could even dare to touch them and play with them.

Yes! I'm afraid of snakes. I had this dreamed that while I'm sleeping there's a lot of snakes on my bed laid beside me.I was so scared that I was crying in the middle of the night. I don't know why some people love to hold this kind of stuff...

I just absolutely, positively, categorically, unquestionably, sure enough, doubtlessly, emphatically, really truly am afraid of snakes! Especially if you don't know they are there! If they are caged it's not quite so bad.

yeah, definitely! i hate reptiles, amphibians and bugs! its gross and also it gives me goosebumps...
