Easy way to clean your drain.

Throw away the draino! Check this out, now there is an easier way to clean your drain and it WORKS!! Pour a bottle of coke down the drain, the phosphoric acid in the soda dissolves buildup and soap scum in your drains. It also keeps your family safe from the harmful chemicals found in draino or any other clensers you use to clean your drain. Pretty nifty don't you think? I saw this in First magazine awhile back and I thought I'd share. It really works!

That's a great tip, but a bit too expensive for us. We like to pour some baking soda and vinegar down our drains, it works pretty good too and it's cheaper. Same with hot boiling water, I also find this works and sometimes better than the soda/vinegar mixture. Still, I'll definitely remember this tip, it's amazing what coke is good for!

It is and it's less mess when using it. It seems a little strange but when I found the tip I tried it and it worked like magic.

Thanks for sharing. I will have to try this. I wonder if it will work on the hair thats built up in my shower drain. I know bleach will eat that away but the smell of bleach makes me sick so I hate to leave it there overnight.

Thanks for the great tip. I'm going to try it out,our bathtub drain is running slow.
