As we are nearing the semi finals of the World Cup...
Who are your picks for the teams that will make it to the final?
Who do you think will win the World Cup this year?
My thoughts are that Australia and South Africa will make it to the final, with Australia winning the World Cup 2007!

now the semifinal line up is clear.australia vs southafrica
and newzeland vs srilanka.i thought srilanka beat newzeland in the semi and also there is a head to head battle between southafrica and aussis.the toss is the major factor in this context and i think the team who bat first bociome win.any way my option is go to srilanka who won the world cup.

Yep... I just looked myself and it's heading that way. Unless Australia loose to New Zealand in their last super 8 match.
It looks like Australia will play South Africa in the first semi.
and Sri Lanka and New Zealand to play off in the second.
That being the case I'd pick an Australian / New Zealand final.
But who knows... cricket can be a funny game!

IN my point of view, Australia and Newzeeland will make it to the final. They are really a strong team and playing well. Australia is the best and strong team of world cup 2007 so i have full hope that Australia will take/ win the world cup.
