I was so shock on the tragedy at Va. Tech. It was so sad that 32 students died just because of this "crazy" student, who's name Cho who shot them. He's mentally disturbed for a quite sometimes and get no help from anybody. The the tragedy happened, I relate myself with the story, when I was an ESL teacher in Cebu in 2005, where my students were Korean and also Japanese. One of my students was weird, he always talk about death, violent stories.. something that made me uncomfortable that time. He had an assignment to make a diary, most of the stories were sad, violent, a girl who dump him and about death too. In fact, in his room (at the dorm), there were words he wrote "I want to die". He had no roomate(s) because of his weirdiness, mysterious and loner person.I was thinking that he might has mental problem or emotional problem. Well, after a couple of months stayed in Cebu, Philippines, he went back home in Korea. After a while, we received news about him that he committed suicide. I think if he would stay longer in Cebu at that time, he might did what Cho did in Virginia, because of depression. That's when I read the news about Virginia Tech. Rampage, it somehow related what I'd experience though my x-student didn't kill anybody, but their emotionally depressed, and irrational in common. Well, for those students died yesterday, let's pray for their souls and rest in peace. Amen
