When you pick up a water bottle and take a drink,do you ever think about the extraordinary substance inside?
did you know:water is densest at 4C,just above freezing.above that temperature as well as below it,water is lighter.because of this ice floats,and water freezes from the top down.if ice were heavier than water,rivers and lakes in cold climates would freeze solid.all fish would die,and ice would not melt in the spring .life would be impossible!

In life, we need #1- air, #2- water and, #3- food in order to sustain the life within us. If any of the three is absent, we die. I have read an article long ago (either in the Graphics magazine or the Philippines Free Press) which stated that: man will perish if he breathes no air within 7 minutes or, runs out of water in 7 days or, have no food in 7 months and have no new generation (no babies) for 70 years. It was stated that this life is founded on the magic of 7.

I remember I have studied in school that the latent heat of water is 4C. Even under the ice bergs in the Antartic, water will maintain 4C, making marine lefe possible to exist. Thank you for bringing these things back to remembarence.

I can remember that when we touch water at its 4 degrees centigrade most dense state, it feels coldest to the touch. It kind of freezes the skin upon merely touching it. Then as though my teeth were falling when I tried drinking it. The cold went straight to the temple and it was painful. I don't know if it will be the same for you if you will experiment on this. I can remember that we did it in a chemistry class or something. This proves that we cannot rely on our feelings/bare perceptions alone. This is the reason why man is inventing so many gadgets to show us the true picture of things.

Yes, I agree with you that water is nature's miracle.I believed that water is life and without it every living things in this world will die.All of us in this earth are totally dependent to water.
