It also does stuff like, you write wikipedia, press tab, and the some search terms... you press enter, and boom! you're in your browser, looking for the search terms in wikipedia... It indexes files of what type you what it to index, and from which folder you set it to... a good ides is setting it to index the quicklaunch bar of your computer... the folder is: c:\documents and settings\"your user"\application data\microsoft\internet explorer\quick launch why did they choose to put it in there... it's a mystery to us all...
