Is a CD/DVD Labeler still important/useful? Do you have one? Do you think that CD/DVD labelers will still be useful in the future? Or do you think that printers will soon have a feature which will make printing CD labels easier and faster?

Maybe to others it is. It is actually a preference on the person involve. I pretty much prefer using DVD-RW with Lightscribe technology it is more convenient for me since all you have to do is flip your cd or dvd then burn the label on the other side of the disk.

Why would you buy a printer that can do that when some DVD/CD burners already can burn the label on to the disk?

Like everything else, I think it's personal taste. Some people will keep using their labelers even when printers will do it faster and easier. Change is bad for some people.

I think Canon already has a printer that can print on CDs directly. I don't have a CD labeler, just a permanent marker to write what's on my CD. Sometimes, I print CD labels if it's the cd I burned is important. I've downloaded some of my favorite anime TV shows and the episodes of Will and Grace and I took some time printing CD labels for those.
