Is it possible for flowers to be fooled into thinking its Spring twice a year?

As everyone knoes, the weather (well in Britian anyway) has been a bit mad recently. IT seems that Spring has been and gone already a couple of months early. All the flowers have started bbooming etc. It has turned cold again now but I was wondering if when real Spring comes, will they bloom again thinking it's the next year? If not, how do they know a year hasn't passed?

Well I am sure that you know as well as anyone on here that we did infact have flowers bloomming in January. Every year in fact it seems things happen earlier and earlier. I seen a family of deer, babies and all in early March. Here's my theory..... A year is not 12 months but is only 11.5months by nature so therefore every year spring moves back by 2 weeks. Originally spring was April/May and then the following Mid April to the point were we are seeing babies and flowers in January. Do you agree with me? Do you see where I am coming from? I voiced this theory to my mother who readily agreed with me and made me feel very intelligent just the way a daughter should feel. Then I voiced it to my sister, she's 12. She just kind of said "What the hell are you talking about, don't be so blooming stupid!" I don't know who to believe. YOu see my sister is fairly intelligent adn my mother may just be saying what mothers should be saying. Do you think this is a good theory?

Interesting theory, it could be true. Im not sure who decided a year should be 12 months or why, Im guesssing it's something to do with the planets orbiting the sun or something. It could also be because of global warming. Also, we are leaving an ice age so the planet should naturally be heating up anyway which would also result in Springs earlier and earlier every year, although it shouldnt be heating as rapidly as it is. Stick your theory I say!

Well obviously I don't speak Latin or anything. I fi had that kind of intelligence I am sure I wouldn't be sitting here chatting on myLot. Decemeber means 10. Well Dec does. Oct means 8 and I think two months were just chucked in the calender at some point. I don't know the reason why but maybe this was a mistake.
