Isn't it Interesting?

Many times when people ask certain questions, I wonder if they are surprised by the responses. Sometimes it seems, as many good responses are given to a discussion or question, the person asking the question or beginning the discussion doesn't like the response they got. Maybe it's not that they didn't like the response, but doesn't fit into the response they expected to get. Or maybe it's just not what they believe. Seems like if they don't want to know other people's opinion, they wouldn't ask. Have you ever felt like your response (or discussion) was answered without real consideration?

Most responses have been pretty informative, and much as I had expected, but I have noticed that many members will just jump to responding to the basic question instead of reading thru the responses and seeing how the discussion may have changed, based on additional details being added, as the discussion progresses. Most additional information is usually revealed within the first few pages. At that point, it does seem as though the responses aren't considered before new opinions are being added.

You're right paidreader. Most responses are informative and fun to read and follow. I've found many people don't read the text. They read the title and answer without understanding the question sometimes. Think that's why they call it a - discussion? LOL Thanks for your response.

Yes I do. I also have had some of my post answered in a argumentative way. People really get hostel at times when they do not agree with something. When I post a response top someones post I give my opinion then leave it at that. I do not keep responding when other try to get me to respond back. They just want to start something and I do not like to argue. I give my opinion on the post and leave it. When I get replies to my post I try and be friendly to people and try to get my opinion across and some people really get offensive. It is just a discussion, no reason to get all bent out of shape, LOL. Well it doesn't sound like I answered your question does it? Don't know where all that came from. Sorry for such a long complaining post.

I agree mjsdls. I respond and for the most part, leave it at that. I've sometimes written a long response to several discussions and had to delete them when I read them over. My inner voice told me not to reply. You answered my question just fine. It wasn't a complaining post. It was a good response.

The Bible. Your right. It's interesting alright. I'm reading so many other discussions where negative comments are left. On some, it's a wonder they don't end in raging fights or worse yet, how the thing in Virginia ended up. Some people are just down right crazy!

You have a great point. I think it is more about people not reading the whole discussion, or not understanding the discussion. I have noticed often when i posted a questions i would get answers that didn't even go to the question, or people just not understanding what it is I am trying to say. I think when you are ready stuff online, sometimes things can get lost in translation. or people are just fools and don't pay attention. which ever works! LOL
