Why people try to wipe the horrible memory of what natzi did to the jews?

I see these days a wave of hatred against people.
Why people make up FALSE stories about someone, and make others hate that someone or that nation or group?
Wars have not led to anything but killing innocent people.
About six yes 6 million Jews were tortured and then mass killed by the Germans.
Isn't it time to learn how not to hate humans and live in peaceful pleasant harmony ?

I don't think you can wipe out anything that happened in the history .In this day and age we live in , media and internet have made it possible to everyone who wants to know the truth to search and find.Just read and find the answers.As for what happened to the jews ,I don't understand why people are still stuck at what happens then , why don't they ever remember what jews are doing now to palestinians.
P.S : Before you get all upset , I don't support violence and I strongly belive in peace , I don't beleive violence could solve any problem , even if it is taking down a tyrant from his throne.
