how to let someone know that you love him?

i have fell in love with one of my highschool classmates,who is also one of my best friends.i don't know how to let him know my love without emberisment. i know i should disturb our ralationship if i show off my love.however,if not,i will feel pain all life when i miss him. so, how to show my love without emberisment and without disturbing our former friendship.

give him a hint by joking or some other ways like that.you are best friends,so maybe he has the same feeling with you,he might not take risk to destroy your friendship,i dont know if that works,i didnt try before,but if he received that hint,he know how to deal with it,if he treat you like a friend,i think he will pretend not to know that,if dont,he will take action.

Better be careful. You don't want to risk the friendship. You have to think is it worth it or not.

i think for me i will not tell him that.if he happens to love me too,then i think he should take the action.but if he don't have the same feeling as me,it's not useful that he knows what i thought...i am not a optimistic,i always what to change myself,but i just can't.hope you two will be together.
