If you could go any where in the world on vacation....Where would you go? Why?

There are so many beautiful places in this world to see. I have lived in several states during the course of my life....but there are so many places I would love to go.
I am sure that this "place" will be different than the way you would have answered it several years ago or even in the future.....because things are constantly changing in our lives that shift priorities somewhat....
At this time, I would like to visit the Grand Canyon.....Or the Pacific Ocean.......this is my son's last summer before he starts to school....we want to take him somewhere this summer but have not decided where.
I thought that maybe some of you could help by telling me where you would go and why?? Your responses, as always, are greatly appreciated!

for me i'll go to okinawa,japan.I heard that the island is very beautiful and got a nice beach too.People in that country also very polite and humble i think.I also heard that it has a nice view to watch.Maybe i'll tell you when i get there or maybe you can tell me if you go there someday.

I haven't visited Lourdes. I heard that it is a beautiful city with a spiritual history. I don't know if you're interested in this place. Whatever decision you are going to make, I hope that you'll have a great holiday, my friend.

Thank you so much, my friend.....for some reason my son has decided that he wants to see the rebuilding of New Orleans....I guess that is because it was on the news so much over the past year.....he wants to see the ocean and eat real Cajun food...he loves seafood like crawdads and snow crab..and shrimp so he is very excited about it....
We plan to go around the first week of August...I will take lots of pictures when we go..so I can share with all of my friends...
I really must claim ignorance of Lourdes....although I will be googling it when I get done so I can see why it holds an interest for you....

The place I want to visit most is Alaska.That place is absolutely breathtaking,at least in the pictures. I also want to visit the Anartica but I don't think you and your family would want to go there,lol. I also want to see the grand canyon,yosemite,england,the pyaraids,the alamo.I could go on and on. I hope you have fun where ever you go to

Hiya Jerseygirl---Alaska appears to be one of the most popular places to go to.....Oh my, I would love to see the pyramids......I find them so interesting.
I know that we will have a blast no-matter where we decide to go, as spending time together is a also a big part of the memory process for family vacations.

The Seychelles and Maldives Islands; The Grand Canyon sound good too, but the first is my biggie choices. of course, they are miles apart, but that is my choice.

Well, that is my first choices; The Seychelles is off the coast of Africa, and the Maldives is in the Pacific; I found out about these places in this book, 100 Places to See in Your Lifetime: Heaven on Earth (Time Life). So since then, I have been curious about both places. I had a friend from Austria to send me postcards of the Seychelles, and now I am trying to get some from the Maldives.

While I hate to show my ignorance....I have to tell you that I have never even heard of the Seychelles and Maldives Islands....but you have peeked my interest...

I would love to go to the whitsunday islands in Australia.
The beaches are like something out of a fairy story.
Well from the pictures I have sen it looks amazing! And sand that never gets hot is just beyond my comprehension!

Oh my, yes a sand that does not get hot would seem unimaginable to me as well...what a wonderful thought...lying out on the beach surrounded by bright and beautiful waters gently rolling into the coastline...a gentle breeze blowing.....and the sand NOT radiating so hot that you feel like you are in an oven....
Sounds like paradise to me as well.....Holler when you get ready to go....I wanna come....sounds like fun!!

if i could go any where in the world on vacation,i would go to america to visit my friends with my yonger brother.hehe. because my friends always ask me go to america and visit them.hehe, terry, cooper and mary.hehe.my younger brother also would like to go to america.but now i am studying in university without enough time and also no money support me to america.hehe. but after graduating from university, i will to be a teacher and i have time when summer holiday or winter holiday.hehe.i will work hard and earn a lot of money to make it come true.hehe.

Yes, there are many beautiful places here to visit and a wide variety of cultures and interests to keep a person occupied for a great long time....
I am glad to know that you are attending the University to become a teacher...it is a noble career choice...I trust that you will someday visit here and see how Americans live....this will make a great storyt o share with your students and us, your friends....

i will just go around my beloved philippines. i will never have good enough share of the good things and places that my own country has to offer. the island alone where i am settled is quite large and i have never ever had the opportunity to go to all the tourist spots which are so naturally available for the people to enjoy.

Although I have never had the opportunity to visit your country, my friend....I have read a good bit about the Phillipines since I have joined myLot....it really appears to be a lovely paradise...
I live in the USA...I know that I could travel this country for the rest of my natural life and never be able to enjoy all of the scenery, wildlife, and adventures available here, as well.....

Hi, I love visiting America and would love to go to the Grand Canyon's someday. Although I have visited Florida and that was beautiful and I'd love to re-visit there someday but then again I would also like to go to New York.. so many lovely places so little money lol!

I have been to Florida...Miami...it was absolutely gorgeous in places.....
I have never been to New York...but have seen some lovely pictures and have a few friends that live there.
I would also love to visit the Grand Canyon....they recently added a glass & metal horshoe that goes out over part of it and the view must be awesome...i would love to take my 5 yr. old out there..maybe we ca one day.

if given the chance to have a vacation and travel.. i'd love to visit all the beaches here in the philippines. or better yet all the beautiful places here. its better to explore beautiful places in your county first and appreciate it before getting out of the country:)

I have several friends here at myLot fromt he Phillipine and I am so enjoying getting to know more about life in your beautiful country...
I live in the USA....if I traveled everyday...I do no think I would be able to live long enough to see all of the beautiful places here.....

Hi tinamwhite! I love travelling. Singapore is my all time favourite destination. But if i am asked which is a new place i would like to see i would probably say Australia. I have several good friends in Australia whom i would love to see.

I have seen many movies and photos of Australia...I would love to visit parts of that country....so many rural undeveloped places there....it suits my more adventerous side...LOL
I have a few friends here at myLot from Singapore but do not really know much about it...which is why I am trying to develop relationships with some of these wonderful people...I am interested in learning more about it..

Yes, all of the literature I have seen about Bora-Bora has been quite lovely....what a great place to go to visit...

Well.. there are so many places which i would like to visit i m just 19 yrs old and there are so many dreams.
i would like to visit Athens,Rome,Italy. i think they have a great history.

I would love to go to Rhodes, to see the Colossus especially, sadly I missed out going a few years back my cousin got married in Rhodes and I had work commitments so couldn't go, I saw all the pictures and nothing but great things about Rhodes, so that is where I'd love to go, the beautiful blue sea and warm weather (but not too hot!)

Wow, I am such a homebody. Definitely an East Coast girl! I would probably want to go out West just once. Or maybe Hawaii. I"d love to see Paris buit I hate flying!!!

I have lived in the middle of the US all of my life with the exception of the time that I spent in Florida....
Being 46, and having not ever flown yet....I do not see it happening in the near future...LOL

I think if I only got to pick one place I'd pick Spain. It looks like a beautiful country.
But eventually, I think I'd like to go everywhere, and I mean that. I want to visit every country on the face of the planet, even if I just get off the plane, set foot and get back on. :)

I think I would love to go to Washington state. I have an older sister who lives there with her husband and four sons. I miss seeing her on a daily basis. I would also like to take a trip to Germany. My Uncle has lived there for years. He flies back to the states every couple of years but I would like to be able to see some of the places he talks about when he is visiting.

KissThis, thanks so much for your input--Yes, Germany sounds absolutely wonderful. I have also never been to Washington state, but my husband lived there once when he was a kid.....he has many fond memories of living there. He says that is is absolutely gorgeous but gets cold in the winter

As much as i want to travel abroad, i think i would want to explore my own country first. Philippines is comprised of over 7,000 island so most of us have different cultures. Beaches and historical places here are also breathtaking, I would want to know my country more. ;)
