When was the last time you were hospitalized?

My first confinement (that I was aware of) in a hospital was last year 2005. I had a urinary tract infection so I had to be confined for three days. The second time was the month after that.. I was hospitalized for almost 3 weeks because of reactive arthritis on my right knee.. it wasn't something major though. But the painful part was they had to inject steroids in me for 6 times!! And the dosage of my medicines were really whoah.. of huge amounts. I got bigger because of the steroids that I had to take.. both oral and through injection. Sheesh..
So what was your experiences when you were hospitalized? When was the last time that you were confined? Was it something major? A disease? any sickness? Tell your story.

The last time, is last January 2005 because of tonsilitis.

Seriously? You were hospitalized because of tonsilitis? That has to be a major one I guess. Coz' from what I know, tonsilitis is just a minor sickness and it doesn't really require you to be confined in a hospital.

Yah, but it hurts very badly, there's the time that I can't eat and I can't it well and swollen my saliva.

I've been admitted twice so far.
Once was with a bad malaria when I was in school. I was feeling really bad and a little disoriented. It took me three days to get better.
The second was with an atypical pneumonia. I was vomiting quite a bit and had fever with chills. I was in hospital for 3 days.
Both experiences were pleasant though. the first time my parents were with me and the secodn time (at college) friends dropped in frequently - my parents did not know about it as I was worried it would scare them.

Oh yeah, I was delighted to be confined too coz' my friends visited me and some even took care of me. My mom was having a vacation in Australia when I was confined that's why only my sisters and our dad were there. But mostly, my friends often visited me and it was really sweet of them.

I was last hospitalized when i gave birth to my daughter four years ago. It was a hard time as i had to undergo a sugerion. It is simply never easy for the patient to be in the hospital being given a continous dose of injections and medicines .

I was going to say it was when I had my gall bladder removed, but that was a same day surgery kind of deal. they dont keep people in thehospital very long anymore. Prior to that I was hospitalized with pancreatitis for about a week, I had a new born babe at the time and they decided to not let me keep her in the room with me, and dh had to take her home. So, I checked myself out of there.
