My 100th Post!! What does the number in the star indicate??

The star indicates your rating of posts in myLot. It refers to how well you do in posting here. If you're usually marked as the best response, you'll have higher chances of getting a higher rating. If your topics are also mostly visited by members here and if they respond, then your rating might also increase. 10 is the highest rating, which is a color blue star. It all depends on the quality of your posts and how often people respond to your discussion. Don't lose hope, you'll reach 10 soon. Happy posting!

congrats for the 100 mark,but your star is down,star is your reputation that is your quality of posts....its not that you are not good to your responding or discussions but others are not giving you there concern. you can increase your star rating by making some good friends here who will rate u + signs which r given aside every dicussion. try getting more and more +++++ as u could to increase your star ratings.all the best for that.

It stands for you rating and/or reputation on mylot. The greater the number of the users who rated you positively, the greater the chance to boost up your reputation. That's what i think after knowing it to myself.

As I am responding to this, your star has already gone up to a 6, which says you are getting positive ratings about 60% of the time. Unless you get a lot of bad ratings, it will probably continue to go up. It is just others' opinions about your discussions and posts and there isn't a whole lot you can do about. Yes, if you post disagreement someone could rate you negative, but I wouldn't let that stop you. Just try to disagree tactfully, if you can!
