Dwrowsy drivers can be just as dangerous as drunk drivers.Almost percent of all serious car-crash injuries are associaed with driver sleepiness, according to a study by the institute of Medicine.Have you ever driven while drowsy?Do you know someone who got into an accident because they fell asleep while driving? How do you stay alert behind wheels?

I am a big fan of coffee and loud music. If I start to get really sleepy, I usually call a friend and have them help me stay awake. When all else fails, turning the air conditioner on super cold will help, too!

I can relate to this question. I used ti drive 13 hour shifts and by the end it is all you can do to stay awake. On these mornings I would open the window, turn up the radio and sing along as I would drink large amounts of coffee. If I am not working and tired I will pull over to a parking lot and have a nap or at least close my eyes for a few minutes until I feel awake enough to continue on.
