I found my 22 month old one day with boudreauxs butt paste all over her legs and arms. She was saying lotion. She had a small amount next to her mouth. I started freaking out. I smelled her breath and I could smell it but its so strong I didn't know if it was in her mouth or if it was from her just having it everywhere. I called poison control which I found on the internet. They said she would be fine just give her water and give her a bath. She might have soft stool but thats about it. Did your child swallow anything that made you freak out?

my eldest daughter used to eat cockroachs and moths when she was young, but my youngest was eating a spider, a hairy black poison one, when i finally prised her mouth open, the thing crawled out with only 2 legs left, she didn't want to let it get away, but it tried it's hardest to get out, it's a wonder it didn't bite her, i suppose it was too interested in staying alive

This is really gross....my older son had a caterpillar on the end table and we were watching it crawl around. My younger son, then 2, picked it up and in an instant ate it! I was totally grossed out!! It did come right back up, so I didn't freak too long. Then the same son was about 4 and found an old bottle of lestoil in some cleaning supplies that were in our basement. He thought it was apple juice and opened it and drank it. He then came upstairs and said, " Mom, this apple juice isn't any good." I really freaked out! I called poison control. Luckily I just had to give him lots of liquids to wash it out of his system. My boys are all grown now and we can laugh about these times.

My baby is 14 months old, and he is always trying to swallow something! He got into his A&D the other day, too! We knew he would be fine, though, since he didn't get much of it. He tries to eat crayons and pretty much anything else he can get ahold of. He likes to eat dog food. And he chews on paper any chance he gets. He also likes to pull fuzzies off his clothes and chew on them.

last week, my 2yr old daughter was crying because i'm getting her because she needs to sleep..she's holding a piece of a coin and suddenly while her mouth is widely open she drops it inside her mouth, and i suddenly flip her and do her back tapping so that the coin will come out, and thanks God, she didnt swallow the coin...it's terrible thing that happen to my daughter, i know if i haven't let the coin out, maybe my child will die because of suffocation..i will not let her go in that situation anymore, i will die..

My son never swallowed anything but once when he was 2.5 or 3 years old he put a pink plastic flower up his nose and I had to have him put under and surgically remove it, I remember the surgeon coming out to the waiting area bringing me a small jar with the plastic flower in it asking myself and my daughter if we had ever seen it before cause it had been on my son's nose for the prior two weeks.
