If you were one of the people in Lost would you be able to survive?

Hmmm...I'd like to think I could survive, but I'm not sure. I do have some camping skills and have had some pretty harrowing camping trips in my day...and I lived to tell the stories behind those. I think if I could ally myself with the group I would be ok. I don't have any major skills in survival but could collect firewood, fruit, help garden and such. I do have some conflict resolution and mediation skills as well as group dynamics training, so maybe I could try to help keep some harmony in the group. I know I would need help with building my shelter though. Too many failed attempts at building "forts" as a kid taught me that is not a strong skill. Maybe I could bribe Sawyer to help...At least that would be nice to watch :-)

I have to admit I have only ever seen the first episode of Lost and I haven't watched it since. However, my friends and I have often discussed the subject of survival and I guess I could survive reasonably well. I know how to make a shelter and a fire, can set a trap and catch fish. My mates all said I would be like a *mum* to everyone - not sure if that would involve wiping bums and reading bedtime stories though :-)

I love all the people on Lost. I would have been one of the first to die I'm sure. It would have been of heat or dehydration, but I'm from Virginia and it's cold and I spend most of my time in the house. I have no idea how to survive in the wild, let alone on an island.

I've had some survival training with the military, but most of it was for cold-weather climates :D Once you find fresh water, you are fairly well off. Other basic requirements are obviously shelter and food. The issue of food is not so much 'what do I eat?', but 'what can't I eat?'.

I'd probably one of the first ones down. I have no survival skills to add to the group & if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
