When you go to a carnival, what is the the food you want most? My favorite carnival foods are cotton candy, funnel cake, snow cones (cherry or blueberry), and fresh cut fries. I love cotton candy. I rarely get it. Funnel cake is so good if it is fresh. I make my own snow cones at home when I want to. My husband makes fresh cut fries all the time. I never eat them because they are not good for you with all that oil...but when you go to the carnival all those things taste better and you have to have them. Afterward...I feel a bit loaded. And you are never to old to win a teddy bear at the games:)

The food I want most at a carnival is fried dough. Even if we don't have much money, I always make sure that I get some. I am not a real big fan of the other foods they have there but their fries, hamburgers, sauseges and even their hotdogs taste good. when I was younger, I always had to get cotton candy but now its definately the fried dough.

Ah food another one of my favorite topics ;) I love to eat sausage and pepper sandwich usually as my meal. Then it's on the sweets and treats. I also like funnel cakes especially with a lot of powdered sugar on top. I like to find the odd things they try out at fairs like fried oreos, or snickers bars. We'll get one and share it as a family because they are usually so greasy. Plus we want to save room for more things to eat. My dd usually gets cotton candy and doesn't finish it. Of course I can't stand to see any food go to waste, so I just have to eat it. Oh I forgot roasted corn on the cob with our meal. Popcorn usually is bought and shared. I really enjoy the fresh squeezed lemonade and if they have fresh strawberries we'll get them with cream. Then we wobble home like little piggies. Just remember to do the rides before the food, or else!

I love eating ice cream in different flavors and really don't eat heavy foods like rice. I prefer to eat some foods like popcorn and anything that would satisfy my health.

Funnel cake, funnel cake, funnel cake! Every year we have this festival called the Neptune Festival and it's the only time I'll let myself have one. So every year I'm so excited right around September. All over fried dough and powdered sugar!

I take my 2 grandsons to the carnivals around here every summer. They are 6 and 8 years old. We just love funnel cakes topped with fresh strawberries on them. I also have to hunt for a good chili dog or chicago dog. Those are awesome. Nowdays its so exspensive though. I spend around $50 just eating at the carnivals in one days visit. LOL. Thanks for the discussion also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

If you like pancakes, you would love funnel cake. You take pancake-like batter and put it in a funnel and drip it in a pan of hot oil...about an inch of it. Turn that batter over after a few minutes. When it is done put it on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I'm reluctant to admit this, but I love those deep-friend Snickers bars. There's something sinful about chocolate, caramel and peanuts melted in a soft, warm doughy shell, sprinkled with powdered sugar. What's even better is washing it down with some fresh-squeezed lemonade. Mmm!

Funnel Cakes 3 to 4 cups of flour 3 eggs 2 cups milk 1/4 sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt powdered sugar for topping vegetable oil for deep frying - heat to 375F degrees Beat the eggs, then add the sugar and milk. Sift 2 cups of flour, the salt, and the baking powder. Add to the milk mixture. Mix while adding more flour until the batter is smooth and not too thick. The funnel should have an opening of at least 1/2 inch and be able to hold a cup of batter. Put your finger over the bottom and add a cup of batter. Remove your finger and allow the batter to pour into the center of the oil. Be careful, the oil will splash. Gradually swirl the batter outward in a circular motion, or criss cross back and forth to make a cake about 7 or 8 inches around. Check it with a pair of tongs and turn when the bottom becomes golden brown. When both sides are brown, remove with tongs and let it drip with a paper towel. Sift powdered sugar on top.

My favorite carnival food is funnel cakes! I also love the cotton candy. We usually have to try some nachos or polish sausage, too. We try to each get something different and share it as a family. But, yes, we too go waddling home! It is a good thing the carnival only comes to our town once a year! tdbrower1969
