You get many gifts, did you ever think ,can't they find a better one than this?

A birthday, You graduated, you joined new job, You got a hike at work, many such occasions you celebrate. Your family , friends , neighbors and may will attend the parties.
Gifts pour in , and you may like most of the gifts you get from your family since they know what you might be looking forward to have on that occasion.
Now did you ever feel that a certain gift dint attract your attention or the article they brought is already with you, or you may feel it doesn't suit your interest. Did you ever come into such situation and did you express that with the one who brought the gift or do you just get along.

I am one of those people that says thank you to any gift and appreciates the thought behind it. Growing up my sister was the one who would say she didn't like gifts and return them. I always thought she was being rude. People usually give gifts from their heart and to say you don't like it strikes me as a slap in the face to the giver. I know personally when I am giving a gift I stress out over whether they will like it and put a lot of thought into the gift I am giving. So even if I don't like it I thank them very much.

I'm such a sentimental bunny that any presents that I received, good or bad, are a treasures to me. Even a small birthday card or notes, everything will be placed in a special box. It was a habit I acquired since I was like 7 years old. As a matter of fact, I have around 20 boxes that's well kept and even showed some of it to my girls.
I did receive present that are not nice but I wouldn't dare tell the person since its extremely rude and offensive. Besides, it really depends on the person who gave me present. Any presents are well appreciated. :)

I just thank them for the gift. I can always exchange it at a store later on. It's no sense making someone feel bad. Goodness knows how many hand creams I've gotten when I have a oily complexion or the number of pillow cases I got at my wedding shower. Gifts pour in? In my case, not exactly. I'm not in the habit throwing parties and inviting the whole city.

I have recieved some gifts and i thought to myself- now what am I going to do with this- but no I didnt say anything to the person who gave it to me.Most everyone knows what i like but sometimes they just get something way off the wall.Displaying the item is sometimes hard maby because i dont like it but itry to put it out in the house at least for a while.

i used to have an aunt who would bring me very strong,godawful smelling perfume on almost any occasion.i mean,it was truly bad.
i thanked her for it so i wouldn't hurt her feelings,but i ended up using it to keep dogs and raccoons out of my trash.they didn't like the smell either.

i never liked recieving copper plated glasses or plates as gifts, as most of the times on my birthdays i used to receive this as presents from my grandmom and aunts,i was small tht time,it wud be more nice if i wud receive toys or sum chocolates :)

I appreciate every gift I get, because it´s the thought that counts. I´ve kept all the little presents my daughter gave me, even the drawings.
I don´t think people should be expected to guess what I would like as a gift. Even if I received something that I´ve already got, I wouldn´t say anything. There´s no way you can say something like that in a diplomatic manner and I don´t like hurting people´s feelings.

I usually except it and say thank you.
When I was younger I didn't like getting money because I felt their was no thought put into it.
Now I love getting money because I need it more than anything else.

I Guess offering money to kids is not a bad thing cause they can buy some thing that they think they are missing. I can understand how badly you are in need of money. Wish things will improve for you. Thanks for responding.

all that i received were fine to me im not so meticolous in gifts ..i gladly give thanks to them whether i have already received from previous one..i dont want to hurt their feelings the gesture of giving is enough for me ..no matter what the cost is.

whenever i get any gifts,which happens very rarely i usually treasure them no matter if i have it or not with me already.people give gifts and it shows the love they have for others.even if a gift doesnt interest me or something like that i usually treasure them with me and keep them stored in a special place for the gifts i recieve.i really appreciate people showing their love through gifts.it is a way to show they care.

Good one to discuss.I love gifts specially during my birthdays.I expect my loved ones to greet me and gift something whatever they can.But honestly never ever felt that they could have gifted me something better or i have already possess this one.People who gift us express their love towards us and hence we should accept them with thanks and respect.Still i keep the greeting cards which my friends presented me in my school days and just love to see them again and again and feel happy about that.
