Do I have to re-intall my entire computer in order to put in an extra HDD? It wont allow me to turn on my computer with the new HDD?! I'm running XP, then I shouldn't have to re-install right!?

If you install your hard drive as a slave or secondary master, then you don't need to reinstall windows. Windows will boot from your old HD and everything will be fine. Don't forget to format the new HD and maybe partition it before using it because you will not see the drive letter in windows.

I think You have not to Reinstall your holl system or OS. Just Install it.and restart your Compuetr. BIOS will automatically configure it. And the when your windows will be started just format it from my Computer.
