Online Businesses.

In recent months, I started with the whole making money online thing. Nothing major, just things like Mylot, ClixSense and Blogsvertise. But it struck me that some people are making what seem to be fantastic amounts of money with Online Businesses. Obviously they put the time and effort into it, but how do they start it up? What do people have to do in order to start an online business? I don't know the first thing about doing anything like that, but I'd love to try and make an online business work. I just have no idea how to go about it or even what I'd want to do lol. Any tips and ideas people?
