Dog-themed Art

The auction house Bonhams of New York recently sold a John Emms 1898 oil painting for $842,250. The painting is entitled, "New Forest Foxhounds." This is a world record for a dog portrait. I had no idea that dog-themed art was so popular. Do you own any portraits? Can you recommend any books? Refer me to online resources? Who are your favorite artists?
