i have a friend that is in harder times then me. she has a few health issues as well and she has one that is driving her nuts but she doesnt know if she needs to worry or not. i have tried looking stuff up for her but well i cant really find anything that helps. she cant go to the doctor she has no money and has tired trust me she has tried. she just cant afford it. she has a bump that came up on the top of her head about a year ago or longer. it is just a raised bump the size of a nickel in around and about 1/2 inch tall. you cant see it unless you look for it cause it is in her hair. its not red or discolored either. it doesnt hurt unless you press down on it with force. it just came up and she doesnt know why. i have seen where it could be an infected hair but i dont know. like i said it isnt red or anything it just looks like her skin. she worries about it all the time. i cant tell her not to worry of course. we jsut really dont know what it is. like i said though she has tried to find a doctor or a clinic that will see her but none will without money. she is lucky to keep food on the table right now so she cant spare any of that. we live in a small town and we really dont have any free clinics here. i am worried with her as you can tell. any ideas? shoudl she worry? i mean she is thinking she has cancer maybe or something like that.

My husband had a small knot on his head for a long while and would not go to the Dr.. It started getting bigger and he finally after a long time went to the Dr.. It was soft to the touch and was about 1/2 the size of a bouncy ball. It ended up being something to do with a sweat gland. The Dr. told him it was common. If he would have went to the Dr. when it was smaller, the Dr. would have taken it off in the office. Instead he had to go to a surgeon and they took it off in the office. She should not let it go. They said it would have just kept on growing.

That sounds like a hard situation. Have you tried finding one a free clinic outside of your town? I would just try to be there for her as much as possible.

She should definitely keep an eye on it. It may not be anything serious but just to be safe she should keep can eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any bigger or sensitive to touching. Also there are programs all over the world for those who simply can't afford medical care. She should definitely look into it by doing research on such.
