dad-you don't have to like him but try to love him

a friend posted this is his live journal the pther day. he posited that even if your dad's not the greatest in the world, it importnat to love him, cause you never know when he''l be gone forever. this brought up a lot of issues for me becuase most of the time my father and i have a tentative relationship at best.anywhoo, i would like to know who agress and disagress with this statement, why, and any other general thought on the subject.

I agree completely with your friends posting. My Dad passed on a few years ago and, of course, I miss him dearly. I would try to work out what ever makes your relationship tentative at best. Life is too short to not have a good relationship.

i never say taht i love you dad!!~~but i think he isnot enough love me!! but i donot know how to touch with him !i am failed to you !

I love my dad. We're not very close and i always give him a hard time. I'm not a good daughter though. But deep inside me is a great love for my dad. He's the greatest although he doesn't know that i feel this way.
