We are dealing with a very demanding society,in my opinion we must try not to lose oneself.

We definately need to be oneself. Unfortunately, with all the influences from media, friends and education, it'll be kind of tough. I'm an EFL teacher and my goal for my students is to show them how to learn and not what to learn. I think this will also help for thinking. It's the least I can do to help them to be oneself.

That's a great way to put it,"Show them how to learn, not what to learn." Keep up the good work with the children, I think I speak for everyone when I say, you're fighting the good fight. (God Bless) Ty 4/answer!

Thanks for the best response and the encouragement. I know I needed it. Sometimes kids can be a handful. If you ever decided to change jobs or want to get away for awhile, try Taiwan, I can hook you up with a teaching job.

I think it is more common for people to be "people pleasers" As Joyce Meyer would say "Approval Addiction" It is sad to say but it is so true people lose who they are and what they stand for simply because of wanting to "fit in"

i never conform to anyones idea of who i am suppose to be or should be. My grandmother use to say "misrey loves company." i choose not to be misrible or to be in the company of those who are. I love the me that i have grown to be and i am not given that up to be like anyone else!

I agree, however some have not found onself just yet. When one does, I think I would have to agree, it is best to be oneself. Ty 4/answer!
