I see a lot of discussions questioning the excistense of God and His Son Jesus. These are easy to answer but we cannot convince some people who has made up their minds. There are some people who seem to stirr emotions with religious discussions and responses. I believe we should follow the example of Jesus in this matter. Matt.12:19 says "He will not quarrel or cry out" (NIV). We should not engage into argument with these guys. If we do respond to their discussions, do it in a calm way and do not try to defend God or try to explain to much. Just calmy quote the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to do the rest. Also pray about every response that you send that the Word of God do not return empty. As believers we should not be intimidated. If people want to make a mockery of God, we should not defend God, rather pray for those people that the the wrath of God will not come upon them, that they repent. God is righteous and He knows what is going on, He does not want us to get cought up in senseless arguments. We will not have the last say, God will. Blessings

Amen to that. This is a wonderful discussion. I have seen some of these discussions that you are talking about,we do need to follow Jesus's example and not argue with these people. These people can not be reasoned with. Some things are better left alone,nd this is one of them. All we can do is pray for this people, and hope they will see the light before it is too late.God Bless.

You have absolutely gotten this right!! Thank you for posting a wonderful tip for all of us believers on MyLot. I have encountered quite a few articles that is pretty obvious that the writer was angry and wanted to fight and put down Christians and our beliefs. I try not to even respond but I like to respond to those who are actually seeking answers and are doing it without attacking our faith.

I have found that those who do not believe and do not want to, and are not convinced of the truth of the Bible, that a simple fact that God exists, of quoting the Word of God is seen by them as shoving Christianity down their throats. I am not that good at explanations or long discourses on the existence of God. These people want to see a God in a physical form like the old gods of the Greek and Roman empire, or the gods of the Germans and the Norsemen and unless someone boldly lifts them up boldly and has a physical form, they will not be convinced. We can only pray that God will remove the blinders from their eyes and do not let these people keep us from proclaiming God's Word.
