do you start a conversation with a fellow person next to you , when you are travelling in a bus or a train.......or do you respond to any other unknown person.. or a stranger when you are sitting alone while travelling

Travelling a long journey in bus or train is a boring matter, if no one to chat with. For me I'm a easy contact person I will communicate if we have the same topic to start with. But if my associate friend is a solemn character then I will be bored again.
