Everytime I go marketing, I never failed to notice the carrots. There are so many ways of preparing the carrot for consumption. My favourite is the carrot cake and carrot juice really fresh. One of the best benefit of carrot is it's fibrous content which helps clean our digestive system.
If you are a carrot lover, what's your best experiences with it?

Oh don't lol! I love carrot cake, especially when they make the ones that have a lovely butter cream layer on the top and the sponge is lovely, fresh and juicy. I cook with carrots all the time I make a great carrot and cabbage salad too, with olive oil and a dash of lemon juice. The kids love that and I really relish carrots as they are a very rich source of fibre.

i myself am also a carrot lover. i love both the juice and the cake, as most carrot lovers I think. I especially love the baby carrots because they don't need peeling. When I'm in the store, I try to find the naked juice carrot juice --- oh soooo good. I usually drink the whole thing within a few minutes of buying it. That's probably not the best for you with all that vitamin A, but I only do that once a couple of months...mmm. Carrots good!

I love carrots.
The noble carrot has long been known as an orange vegetable. Generations of people in the West have grown up believing that carrots are always orange. But as long ago as 2000 BC temple drawings from Egypt show a plant believed to be a purple carrot. It is also identified in the garden of the Egyptian King Merodach-Baladan in the eighth century BC.
In Roman times carrots were purple or white. By the 10th century purple carrots were grown in Afghanistan, Pakistan and northern Iran. Purple, white and yellow carrots were imported to southern Europe in the 14th century. Black, red and green carrots were also grown.
Orange roots, containing the pigment carotene, were not noted until the 16th century in Holland. This only came about thanks to patriotic Dutch growers who bred the vegetable to grow in the colours of the House of Orange. Experts believe Dutch breeders used a yellow mutant seed from North Africa to develop the orange variety and then stuck to it through breeding. Their colour comes from beta carotene with some alpha carotene, a pigment the body converts to Vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin and vision in dim light. Dutch breeders recently studied the health qualities of purple carrots and believe they give us extra protection against various forms of cancer and heart disease. They contain purple pigments called anthocyanins, and act as anti-oxidants that protect the body.
Carrots are the second most popular vegetable after the potato.
Just a few carroty facts for you..

I love carrots, ummm carrot cake sounds good right now. The last 3 days I've been eating cooked carrots - I actually cooked the other day. Made a pork roast with carrots, celery, onions, and red potatoes in the slow cooker so have been eating on that, it's gone now.
My favorite way to eat carrots is the fresh baby carrots. I love to dip them in ranch dressing and just 'munch' on them which often turns into a whole meal because I just keep eating and eating until I'm too full for anything else.
