Yes, Sanjaya's singing ability is really not that good compare to other contestants. But I must admit I really admire his toughness and ability to handle the pressure and more importantly, simon's comments. We have to consider that he is only 17 yrs. old. "Idol" contestants won't have quite the same intrigue without him. Some other contestants are good, though not as good as they think. Some other contestants are bad, but not as bad as we'd like. Sanjaya alone had that stunning mix of badness and showbiz savvy, of obliviousness and growing self-awareness. So to Sanjaya..thank you for the entertainment.

I agree with you it takes a lot of guts to stay in American Idol. I think AI now is boring because Sanjaya is not there anymore, he's really entertaining.

I totally agree with you... Sanjaya's singing ability may not be that superb, but his personality is 100%. I think he possesses the true quality of a star.

I totally agree with you actually I just watch American idol just to see what will be the next hairdo of sanjaya. Yeah I definitely admire his courage on how he face the way simon gives comments to him. We have to admit he may not be a good singer or great talent but he definitely have the charm to enter showbiz or music industry.

In the begining I didn't like him and was waiting for him to go, but I liked his version of "Check to Check" and the Latin ballard.I'm glad I got to see them. I know we will here from Sanjaya in the future. Let's face it he is only 17. He has time and the drive we will see him again.

I agree with you Sanjaya definently made American Idol more entertaining. He definently didn't deserve some of the backlash that he received, but his voice was really bad compared to some of the other contestants. He sounded like a high school student singing in a high school talent show or singing karoke. And yes he is only 17 years old but so is Jordan and they are world's apart when it comes to talent. I do think he has handled all the negative publicity and jokes with grace. The thing is should someone who can really sing well get kicked off over someone with a lot of personality who's album won't sell. Look at Taylor Hicks he had all the personality in the world, and his CD is the lowest selling American Idol album ever. I think Sanjaya has a successful career ahead of him, it was just his time to go.

Since Sanjaya has been kicked off the American Idol show, I have been asking myself this question: Why did the judges put him through all those phases in Hollywood? If they thought he was that bad, how did he get into the final 12? Did they purposefully put him through as a spoiler, then get sabotaged by their own silly idea? Seriously, folks, it's understandable if he got through the audition part, but they had many cuts in Hollywood before the final 12. Finally, kudos to Sanjaya for putting up with all the jokes and negativity, particularly from the judges and Howard Stern. How would you feel in that situation? I'm not sure I would have handled it all with as much grace and charm as Sanjaya did. I wish him a lot o luck in the future. (Maybe he should try acting?)

I will miss Sanjaya, he may not have had the best voice but he had a lot of savvy. He took his Simon pill every week and always came back with a smile and a new hairdo. Knowing all the things that were being said about him and still coming back everyweek took guts. His ability to entertain made him a household word, if anyone knew an idol contestant it would be Sanjaya. I wish him well and I do hope he continues to sing he can be well with the right songs.

i actually think he can sing but after his sister got booted off, he gave up and wasnt really trying. do you remember his audition? i loved it. even his finally performance was better then when he was on the show. i think he went as support for his sister and when she didnt make it, he stopped caring.
