Family first? or Career first?

You work for the family. You secure the future of the kids. You have to earn twice and do double-time, but the children are having problems in school, needing your immediate attention. Which comes first?

Family is always first. Yeah, they need money to live but they need their parents more. Money doesn't equal happiness.

It's a difficult decision but family first if you are capable of being there for them.

I equate them the same. My family and my career weighs the same to me. I just have to compromise on things. I love my family but I also like to have a career. This is hard but the word compromise will do when times comes for me to choose between them.

In the case you mentioned family would come first, but i believe it is important to establish a career before starting a family.

Good answer, but if you have both a career and a family which would you prioritize family or career? Thanks for responding and have a nice day.

flying dog - flying dog
well we always work for our family, but if you work so hard you can't be there for your family...what is the point?? We should put our family first, if you children are having problems, you should be there for them to help them through it. maybe you not being around is the reason they're having problems.

In that case, I guess children come first. I prefer having less money but having my children happy and safe. Just in that case because I think I can do both things; work and take care of them.
