i am graduating college next week. a new academic opportunity comes in my way which is to study in japan for two years in a scholarship. the problem is that i need to support my younger brother's education. what do you think i need to do; study now and pursue my dreams or forget the scholarship and focus on my responsibility as the older sister?

Congratulations as you are graduating next week and getting a Scholarship at Japan for studying two years! Now since you have got a brother who is younger to you and requires your help, I think it becomes your first priority to look after him as he is completely dependent on you! He requires your moral support along with your finacial support too! Another thing is that since you already have had an opportunity to secure a scholarship ih Japan , it indicates that your academic performance is exceptionally well and with this performance you can get scholarship any time in future for your further studies! Yes the scholarship may not be the same one from same country! This I a m talking presuming that your younger brother is solely dependent on you! In case there are any pther people who can support him for these two years then, it would be definitely to go ahead and continue your further studies so that you canj have a better professional life and can make better fortune in future to suuport your younger brother! Every thing will depend upon the actual situation! What so ever may be the situation, one thing is definately worth appreciating about you - that is concern for your younger brother and towards his future welfare! It is needless to say that you are even thinking to sacrifuice your golden future for hios sake! Your kind heartedness and affection is greatly appreciated! It is very uncommon in this materialistic world of today ! I am really impreesed and pray the Almighty to show you that proper path so that both you sister and brother be happlity lived in future! Wish you all the best!

thank you for the comment/advise. i really appreciate it. i have an older sister that can help him or should i say support him financially for two years but i don't want to burden my older sister again since she was the one who supported me (financially) through the four years of studying in college. i was thinking that since she aleady helped me, then its high time for me to help my brother in return. and also, i want my sister to enjoy the money that she is earning and not worry about us. i think it's the right time for her to do so.. hehehehe.... anyways, i really have to think it through. i don't want to regret the decisions that i'll make today... thanx again for the advise... :)

i think you must think foward for the future, not just for now or two-3 years, if your job doesnt had prospect for your future then you should study, think it clearly before you decide
