While I don't have a favourite, for there are just too many good ones to choose from, this quote passed through my mind this afternoon, hence this discussion: "I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone." --Red, The Shawshank Redemption Do you have a favourite movie line?

Ah, be still my heart. I love all the Monty Python movies. There are at least half a dozen lines from the Holy Grail that never cease to make me laugh.

Speaking of which, I was just watching a documentary on the evolution of comic books and they were showing clips from the Batman television series. I can't believe I ever watched that thing! It's more insulting than The Brady Bunch. Ah, who am I kidding? I love it!

When I think of Commando, I always think of the end: "Let off some steam."

I should quote many and many lines: "these eyes have seen such things that you can hardly imagine..." (or something like that, in bladerunner) "play it again, Sam" (in Casablanca) "tomorrow is another day" (gone with the wind)

Ah, a person who appreciates the classics! You know, when I first saw Bladerunner, I walked out on it. It tooks me rewatching it, years later, to fall in love.

Yeah, Superman was an enjoyable flick, though there were five . . . Did you have a favourite line from any one of them?

Just about any line from The Shawshank Redemption as the entire film is brilliant but I particularly like "Get busy living, or get busy dying." A lot of the end of the film revolves around that sentence.

a few of my fave lines are: "there is such a thing as perfect it's out there dn't worry, u'l find it" and "he could be anywhere in the world, but he chooses to be with her because life is better right there by her side" both from 'perfect man'. another is " i'm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her" by julia roberts in notting hill. im simply touched by this one: "do you know that she has 6 smiles? one when something's really making her laugh, one out of politeness, one when she's with her friends, one when she's nervous, one one when she's embarrassed and one when she..." from "a date with tad hamilton" starred by topher grace.. i forgot the last words though.. ;P
