What a crappy week in history - April 16, 19, and 20 days of so much

unnecessary deaths. First we start the week with the slaughter at V-Tech. Then April 19th marks the anniversary of the Waco, Texas deaths, as well as the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombings. Today is Hitler's birthday, and also the anniversary of the Columbine school shootings. Any thoughts on this week of such sadness?

Well, just because April will always bring back Sad times in ones life, and History, does not mean we need to focus on them every yr. and never want to move past them. I feel these can be a time of rememberance and just remember the lives that gone before us, and move on. Personally, there is nothing you can really do other than move on. People lives, tragedies and situations will always come and go, and in all reality, you never know when it is going to be your time. All a person can really do is Pray and Trust God to be there in any situation we go thru, and be ready if we are ever in a situation we may not be able to get out of.

I don't focus on them every year... in fact, I never even thought about it until this year - and then I heard someone else bring up Waco - and I remembered Oklahoma City was the same day. The only one I knew of was Columbine. It's so sad. I think the saddest part is that I was not shocked by V-Tech. I was sad - definately sad - but not shocked. The Amish deaths shocked me... but it's been so long since anything else has.

It truly is very sad. It makes my heart ache to think of all the tradgedy. my birthday is september 11th, I had turned 21 the day all of that happened and all I could do was cry, my boyfriend insisted on taking me out but how could i celebrate when something so horrible had just happened. What has the world come to? I am so afraid to see what it will be like when my daughter is older, it's too sad. Where is the love?

Geez that certainly is a crappy week in history. I didn't know Hitler had a birthday lol. Certainly a varied mixture of historical events there: 2 school shootings, 1 community of religious nutters killing themselves, an evil man's birthday and a senseless bombing. I just feel so sad that these mass killings at schools are still going on. Haven't there been any lessons learnt from Columbine? Such madness in the world...

Maybe it is me, but all of this happening around Hitler's birthday...I do not know what to think, know the bombings in Boston. Makes me think theses people doing this have a little bit of Hitler in them. I am not joking...think about it
