would you date someone whose name is the same as your parents or your ex ??

i remember someone asking me this question.. then i answered why not.. even if they have same name they have diffrent personalities.. but then she told me won't you feel awkward when you call him you stil remember the "other guy"? yes maybe.. but thanks god i haven't dated someone whose name is the same as my ex..lol! but when it comes on dating someone whose name is the same as my father its a diffrent story! lol! maybe i won't?? coz i don't know.. it just don't feel right..lol!

Hi candy_kei, Welcome to MyLot! I can't say that I've ever dated someone with the same name as my ex, but I have dated someone with the same name as my parents, lol. I don't know if you'd really call it dating though. I was in 7th grade and he was more of a movie companion than a date at that age. His first & last names were the same as my dads though. At the time, I thought it was pretty neat to find someone else with the same name. Since my mom & dad only had girls, it did cross my mind that it would be a really easy way to continue my fathers family name, since it would die out with him. :)
