Too Close To Reality

Did anybody else feel that the episode of Medium pertaining to Allison's husband being held at gunpoint hit too close to home this past week? It is almost eery that so much gun violence has happened recently, not to mention incredibly sad. The event at NASA on Friday seemed particularly close from what the news reports are saying. It is rather discomforting and heartbreaking to see such events actually play out in real life. I hope that the violence will soon come to an end.

Yes, it is scary when it seems so close to home. But on the part of the show, I thought it was an excellent episode. You could feel Allison's fear. And I really felt for the daughter being ignored by her teachers and principal. What principal refuses a child to call home? Anyway, I think it was an episode worthy of winning an Emmy.

Allison DuBois really shines through patricia Arquette, portraying the real-life Meduim, in a way that is very close to home even patricia feels the 'sensing'. I loved this episode, not for what had to happen to Joe, but that Allison is truly clairvoyant in the closest of the family circle, not just distant relatives or kostly strangers she picks vibes from. Her talent is a good representation of prophecy, not necessarily controlled but available early enough to deter from the inevitable. Joe could have been shot . . .

I was a little worried about an episode of a crime show this week I can't remember its name, one of those ones with the three letters, I can never remember which one is which but some teenagers were making a video to put on the internet in the form of a serial and it was a fake kidnapping and one cut of the ear of one to make it look realistic OMG I think if this is not just too freaky that unfortunately I can see it appealing to some people out there, I think some shows go way too far and in doing so give some people ideas....

I believe that was one of the Law & Order shows. Probably Criminal Intent.

Yea, I wish that the only violence we ever had to deal with was on tv. As for that episode it was terrific. I think there has only been one episode this season on Medium that didn't really wow me. While this is a great episode and a good for an emmy, I think the one where Alison was taken over by a spirit was awesome. Joe was exceptional is dealing with it all.

I went to Columbine High School, so yes...it was too close to home and I bawled my eyes out.

I really love the show but often times find it close to reality. I don't think we could expect violence to end any time soon. I know it is a sad thought however it is the way it is.
