do you think cellphone is a wise investment?

i don't think cellphone will ever be a good investment. to start with, these units depreciate from time to time. in a span of 1 month, new cellphone is presented to the market. the newest unit today may not be new anymore tomorrow. that is how fast the units change. hig end cellphones are just luxury and somehow signifies status symbol for some people. for me, as long as the unit that i have can complement the things i needed for a phone, it is already okay with me. as long as i can call and send sms, i'd appreciate the unit. i'd rather have a simple phone wherein i can use all the features than have a high-end, expensive unit where i can't make use of features like internet, 3G, GPRS, etc.

Better to avoid using cellphones, when not essentially required. If one is out of reach to a land line, it is necessary to use a cellphone. Other wise it is an un necessary luxury. When a person is always on the move, for him/her it is an essential requirement. Ladies, when required to go alone for work or on some visit it is very useful to have a cellphone, so that they can be reached at any time as a security facility. Since the use of cell phone is said to be harmful to general health, it is wise to avoide it as far as possible.

for most people cellphones is a luxury and its their way of representing themselves but for me it is a need to organize my life and get in touch with friends and clients.i really do not care if it is expensive or not just as long i have the features that i need in my line of work like calendars ,notes and music.

Today having a cell phone is not a luxury. Again there was another school shooting, we live in a very dangerous world and people need cell phones. I'd like to hear someone say it's a luxury when they are stranded all alone in their car on a dark street very late at night.

having a cellphone is a necessity nowadays but depending on the user's needs, line of work or lifestyle. It's funny when people buy really expensive cellphones but they don't have a load or capacity to call :P There are people who purchase cellphones that has a lot of features that they really need since they do business via phone & want to have mobility but doesn't want to bring laptop all the time. My phone is just medium range when it comes to its price, in fact it's considered to be "old" but I like it's smallness, it has the basic stuff life income/outgoing calls & text, wap, camera, radio, organizer,etc. but i do my organizing in a different gadget for bigger capacity.

Why do we need to buy new cellphone all the time. The one's who are fancied with cell phones will opt to buy new ones every now and then. I my self i am happy with the phone i am using now and though i don't have the advanced features which the mobiles are offering now. i am happy with the way the phone is. Main purpose of a mobile is using it in emergency purpose or having it with us when we are away from home. I don't think spending too much amount on cell phones is advisable. Having a good and high end technology mobile is a good thing.
