I really feel disappointed when I go to the 'discussions I have responded to'section and I find that the preson who started the discussion hasn't added a single word to your response. The discussion should go atleast 3 steps to be called an intresting discussion.I don't know whether we get paid for adding our comments or not,but atleast to thank the replier you should go back to discussions you start.

I agree with you eshaan. I don't know why they are called discussions when nobody comments on the responses. I wonder if these people even read the resonses or even rate the people who make the responses. Sometimes I feel I am just talking to my computer monitor. I don't know either if we get paid on making comments after the responses we receive, but I have noticed that I seem to have earned a little more whenever I comment on the responses. I think myLot are the only people who could confirm this.

I feel like I am doing my examination papers as in schools or colleges. Someone asks question and you answer, but in exams we atleast get results, here we can't expect results also.

Let us send mylot a suggestion to pay for comments, there will be 'life' to the discussions. People will not take it as work, and some meaningful discussions will be created.

I don't always reply to peoples answers. For a start it is against the rules of mylot to do it. If I feel that I have something relevent or useful to say I will reply sometimes, but often I can't think of anything so I just don't see the point.

But I think then they should not be called discussions.

Try not to be too disappointed. Sometimes the person who has posted doesn't get notification of the response and also if they have started a lot of discussions they can actually be snowed under with the actual responding to their responses. I have read on here where people have had hundreds of different emails telling them of responses to the different discussions they have started, this can continue for weeks after it has been started. It can become really hard for them to keep up and this could be why they sometimes can't always get time to comment on each response.

There are two solutions then, either we should start less number of discussions , so as to answer everyone and also to rate the responses, otherwise there is no use posting so many number of responses. Another solution can be followed by mylot, they should pay for commenting also.

That does make sense and I have tried in the past to go back and answer responders out of some sort of courtesy I guess. However, if you begin too many discussions you can spend most of your time at this. If they made it pay as much as responding to a discussion pays, that would change mylot for the better and there would be some much better discussions. Because I can't really spend all that time answering responses, I just quit starting discussions.. I try and start one or two a day instead of a dozen.

I think you are right, start less number of discussions to give atleast little time to each discussion. It feels useless to answer to those people who don't even say a single line to thank you.
